Axe to Compete at Forte 2

Jeffrey 'Axe' Williamson will be headed to the University of Texas in Austin, Texas this weekend to compete in Forte 2, an APEX World Circuit tournament! The top 24 competitors in Melee singles will be earning seeding points for APEX 2015. Additionally, Forte 2 features a $1,000 pot bonus provided by Apex and Twitch. The winner will receive a complimentary flight and hotel for APEX 2015. Other notable faces entering the tournament are Hungrybox, Wobbles, and MacD. Learn more about the event here!

According to Melee It On Me's Apex 2015 World Circuit Update and Projections, Axe currently has 160 circuit points, which he received from Tipped Off 10 back in September. According to Juggleguy, 520 circuit points is the magic number to be in the top 16 of the world circuit, automatically advancing into the top 48 Melee Singles Bracket at Apex 2015. 

In order for Axe to reach the magic number, he must either place first at Forte 2 or average fourth place or better at both Forte 2 and another Apex circuit tournament in January. With Axe's recent shaky performances against the best of the best at The Big House 4, Tipped Off 10, and Zenith he will need to bring his A+ game this weekend.
