Mortality eSports is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of Daniel "Chu Dat" Rodriguez! A renowned Super Smash Bros. player, Chu Dat has signed under Mortality's new and expanding Fighting Games roster. Mortality is eager to support Chu Dat, the godfather of the Ice Climbers and an original Smash pro, as he reemerges on the competitive game scene. Chu Dat is very excited to represent Team Razer, Mortality, and its sponsors in the upcoming SKTAR 3 tournament May 31 to June 1, MLG Anaheim, CEO, EVO, and many more events.

Once the second ranked Smash player in North America, the 27 year-old from Virginia boasts an impressive history in competitive placings, and has a formidable backing of fans who embrace his talent and heart-warming, personable personality. This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the game of Super Smash Bros. and Chu Dat’s career.

Chu Dat gained significant notoriety last October following the release of the documentary. The Smash Brothers, which features his success as a pro player since the game’s debut. The film garnered Chu Dat increased support and led to a resurgence of the Melee tournament scene.

When he's not devoting countless hours to practice and perfecting his skill, Chu Dat coaches budding and veteran Smash players.
