Mortality eSports will be competing on May 3rd, 2014 in the Black Monster Cup. They will be a part of Group B along with teams such as Denial eSports, False Facade Gaming, and Team Green Forest, however all Groupings are not locked in at this point and are subject to change.
The Black Monster Cup, sponsored by Western Digital, will have a prize pool of $15,000. First place will take home $7,500, 2nd $3,500, 3rd $1,750, 4th $750, and 5th-8th will take home $375 each. The stakes will be high as their first match will start at 1700 PDT against Denial. This promises to be a great match, seeing as both teams have been competing at a high level despite missing the chance to play against one another in any of the previous qualifiers and spring finals.
We had a chance to talk with Team Captain TranceTherapy about how he feels the team is prepared for the BMC:
"We have new surprises for all these other challenger teams. We're definitely going to go farther than the last Black Monster Cup. Prepare to watch some new strategies that we've come up with and plan to put to use tomorrow. ladrianariesl is going to be pulling out some new champs in the top lane while we've improved our strategies involving Mikasa's Yasuo.
All in all, this BMC promises to be one of the best thus far. You can catch the action, casted by Jason Kaplan, on ESL TV, as well as on several local streams. Make sure to watch this Saturday as Mortality eSports does their best to make Team Razer proud.
